Prenatal/Postnatal Massage

Your body goes through incredible changes during and after pregnancy. Prenatal and postnatal massage is specifically designed to support those changes - physically, emotionally, and mentally. This isn’t just a gentle massage. It’s a targeted, safe, and deeply beneficial treatment tailored to your stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery.

At GS Therapeutic Massage, we provide a nurturing environment where you can rest, reconnect with your body, and receive the care you deserve.

Learn about our services

  • Safe. Soothing. Supportive.

Prenatal massage is ideal for women in their second and third trimesters (with doctor’s clearance in the first trimester if needed). Our trained RMTs use pregnancy-safe positioning and techniques to ensure both your comfort and your baby’s safety.

    Common Benefits:

    • Reduces lower back, hip, and pelvic pain

    • Eases leg cramps and sciatic nerve tension

    • Helps with swelling in hands and feet

    • Supports better sleep and relaxation

    • Reduces stress hormones and anxiety

    • Encourages better posture as your body adapts

    How It Works:

You’ll be positioned with supportive pillows (side-lying or semi-reclined), and your therapist will work gently but effectively on areas most affected by pregnancy—like the low back, shoulders, hips, and legs. Pressure is adjusted based on your comfort at every stage.

  • Recovery. Realignment. Renewal.

After delivery, your body is in recovery mode—whether you had a vaginal birth or C-section. Postnatal massage supports that healing while giving you a chance to restore balance and calm.

    Common Benefits:

    • Relieves upper back and neck tension from nursing or bottle feeding

    • Supports hormonal regulation and emotional balance

    • Eases postpartum swelling

    • Promotes scar tissue healing (C-section recovery)

    • Helps realign posture affected by pregnancy and infant care

    • Provides deep relaxation and a moment of self-care during a hectic time

    How It Works:

Your therapist will focus on the areas under the most stress in postpartum life—shoulders, lower back, glutes, hands/wrists, and feet. Depending on your recovery and needs, techniques may include gentle deep tissue, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage.

You can bring your baby if needed—just let us know in advance and we’ll make sure the space accommodates you both.

    • Prenatal massage is available after 12 weeks of pregnancy

    • Please consult your doctor or midwife before booking, especially with high-risk pregnancies

    • We use only pregnancy-safe oils and techniques

    • All sessions are performed by Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) trained in perinatal care
